Barbara Olsen Reid

I married Michel Reid in 1973. I graduated from UNL with a B.S. and UMKC with a M.A. We had two sons in ‘74 and ‘77. My professional career consisted of various positions in The Early Childhood field. I was an Associate Professor, Instructor, Vice President at Campfire USA and business owner.

I am currently retired after leaving my business when Michael was diagnosed with cancer. He is cancer free and we are looking forward to getting back to retirement travel and seeing our grandchildren again.

One favorite story is how I met my husband. We were seated alphabetically in Mr. Hiza’s class. I was an “O” and he was an “R”. Doris Poor sat between us and introduced us to each other.
